Meet Dr. Meg Harlin: Your New Optometrist in Albany and Russell Springs, KY

We’re thrilled to introduce the newest member of the Associates in Eye Care team—Meg Harlin, OD! Originally from Gamaliel, KY, Harlin is no stranger to small-town life and is passionate about bringing high-quality vision care to the communities that remind her of home.

Her journey into optometry started early, inspired by her own need for glasses as a child and her work as an Optometric Technician during high school and college. After earning her undergraduate degree at Western Kentucky University, she completed her Doctorate of Optometry at Indiana University and gained hands-on experience through externships across the country, from VA clinics in Florida to military medical centers in North Carolina.

Harlin has a special focus on diagnosing and treating ocular diseases like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. But what really sets her apart is her compassionate approach to care. “I want all my patients to know and feel that I genuinely care about them—not just their eyes, but them as people too,” she says.

Outside the office, Harlin enjoys reading, traveling, baking, and spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends. She’s eager to get involved in the Albany and Russell Springs communities and is excited to get to know her patients on a personal level.
